Christmas at St. Dunstans

Christmas at St. Dunstans

The Band were joined by the Choral Society for the last big concert of the year in St. Dunstan’s Church on Saturday 14th December. The festive audience were treated to set pieces from each organisation together with some joint carolling. Silly hats and Christmas jumpers were adorned for the second half of a very enjoyable end to the years concerts for the band. The finale of the concert saw the band and choir join together for the 1st movement of John Rutter’s Magnificat which was masterfully directed by the conductor of the Choral Society, Fransceca Massey.

Only a couple of carolling jobs remain which will see the band split into two groups to perform at various locations throughout the area.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all our followers. We are already looking forward to starting the new year with some non-Christmas related music and looking at our next Contest piece!
