Our normal conductor, Ian Lanceley was playing with another band in the North of the Country in the Whit Friday March competitions so it was guest conductor John Groves who normally conducts the Kent Police band, who had the baton today.
Saturday 16th October saw the band give its first indoor concert since the start of the Covid pandemic – and what a concert it was! The occasion was what has become our annual fund raising concert for Demelza Hospice and Chris Thomas, principal trombonist of the Cory Band was our guest soloist.

Sunday, September the 15th was the date of our final outdoor concert for this season and saw the band performing on a lovely sunny afternoon at Tonbridge Castle in Kent.

This year we again sought the services of a world renown guest soloist for our charity concert in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children. We were both fortunate and delighted to secure the services of the tenor horn virtuoso, Owen Farr.

Cranbrook Town Band once again enjoyed a visit from John Hudson who travelled from Norway to spend the weekend of 5th and 6th of March with the band. We spent a brilliant weekend rehearsing our Spring Contest piece together with some existing and new Summer programme music. Thanks John for all of your hard work,
