Band blows opposition away.

Musicians from across the Weald play in the Cranbrook Town Band, Which has made a harmonious start to the season by winning two trophies in the Southern Counties Amateur Bands Association contest.
A trio of trombonists won their section and the band was third overall in competition with nine others.
The tuneful trombones were played by Hazel Walsh from Rolvenden, Colin Batt from Tenterden and Steve Walkley from Golford, Cranbrook.
The band is holding an open day for prospective members on Saturday May 19th at Angley School, Cranbrook from 10am-4pm. It is especially keen to recruit a principal cornet player.
It meets for rehearsal at the school on Thursday evenings and is booked for around a dozen concerts this summer.
